§ 18. Investments.  


Latest version.
  • Monies remaining in any fund may in the discretion of the council be invested in one or more of the securities permitted by the statutes of Colorado governing investments of public funds, or in bonds payable out of the revenues of any service or facility furnished by the city; or in general obligation bonds of the city. Interest on such investments shall be credited to the fund to which the invested money belongs, if such can be determined, otherwise to the general fund of the city. The council, or any member thereof, or the director of finance shall not be personally liable to the city for any loss incurred through the investment of any funds as herein provided.
