§ 18B-1. Juvenile offenders—Definitions.

As used in this chapter unless a context otherwise requires;
Child. A person who has reached the age of ten years and is under eighteen years of age at the time of the alleged offense.
Parent. Either a natural parent of a child as may be established pursuant to article VI of title 19 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, as amended, or a parent by adoption.
